A bitter yellow compound from barberry and related plants. Commonly reached for around blood sugar balance and sugar cravings. It's found in several plants used across Chinese and Ayurvedic traditional medicine, including goldenseal and Oregon grape. Its bitter taste is characteristic of the alkaloid compounds responsible for its effects.
