Community Guidelines

Homieo works because people tell the truth about what they tried. These guidelines keep the table honest and safe. They're part of our Terms of Service — breaking them can get content hidden or an account suspended or banned.

Share your experience, not prescriptions

Tell us what you tried, how you used it, and how it went — for you. Don't tell other people what to take, how much, or how often, and never present anything as a treatment or cure. “Chamomile tea an hour before bed helped me wind down” is perfect. “Take 3 cups daily to cure insomnia” is not allowed.

“Tried it” means tried it

Only mark a review “tried it” if you genuinely used the remedy yourself (or, in pet mode, with your own animal). Honest three-star and one-star reviews make the whole site trustworthy — including skeptical ones. Doctors and veterinarians are welcome here, especially when they disagree.

No cure claims. No fear campaigns.

Never claim a remedy treats, cures, or prevents any disease or condition. Don't post anti-medicine fear content or discourage anyone from seeing a doctor or vet. Homieo exists alongside professional care, not against it.

Photos: yours only

Post photos only of yourself, your own pet, or something you have permission to share. Never post another identifiable person without consent, and never post photos of minors. Keep images relevant and non-graphic.

Pet posts carry extra care

Animals can't tell us when something's wrong. Post pet remedies only in Pet mode, respect species-safety warnings, and always recommend a vet check for anything serious.

Be a decent tablemate

No harassment, hate, or personal attacks. Disagree with the review, not the reviewer. No spam, self-promotion, or advertising. Don't post anyone's private information.

Play the game straight

No fake reviews, vote manipulation, coordinated reporting, multiple accounts, or ban evasion. Trust here is earned by contribution — attempts to game it are the fastest way to lose it.

Report, don't retaliate

If something breaks these rules, report it. Reports are weighted by member trust and reviewed by moderators and staff. Misusing reports to silence honest voices is itself a violation.

Moderation on Homieo hides rather than deletes, every action is logged, and mistakes can be reversed — if you believe something was hidden unfairly, contact hello@homieo.org.
