Medical & Veterinary Disclaimer

Homieo is community experience — not medical or veterinary advice.

Read this first

Everything on this site — reviews, ratings, endorsement marks, remedies, recipes, ingredient pages, how-to guides — is shared by community members describing their own experiences, or general educational information. None of it is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and none of it is veterinary advice. Homieo makes no claims about any remedy, and using this site does not create a doctor-patient, veterinarian-client, or any professional relationship.

Talk to a professional first

Always consult a physician or qualified health provider with questions about a medical condition, and before starting, stopping, or changing any treatment or medication. For animals, always consult a licensed veterinarian. Never disregard professional advice — or delay seeking it — because of something you read here.

Emergencies

If you think you or someone else may be having a medical emergency, call your doctor or emergency services immediately. If your animal may be poisoned or in crisis, contact a veterinarian or animal poison control immediately. Do not use Homieo in an emergency.

Natural doesn't mean safe

Herbs and remedies can cause side effects and allergic reactions, interact with medications, and be unsafe in pregnancy, for children, or with certain health conditions. What helped one member may do nothing for you — or harm you. And many things that are gentle for people are toxic to animals; our species-safety notes are informational and may be incomplete.

Endorsement marks are reviews, not evidence

The leaf marks and rankings in the remedy finder reflect how community members rated their own experiences. They are not measures of effectiveness and are not clinical evidence.

FDA notice

Statements on this site about remedies, ingredients, or supplements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

Any use of anything you learn on Homieo — for yourself, another person, or an animal — is your own decision, made at your own risk.
